This too is quite ripe but there is slightly better freshness to the more floral-inflected red currant and wild berry aromas. The supple, round and quite suave medium-bodied flavors exude a subtle minerality on the delicious, sappy and lingering finish that also firms up noticeably. A wine that could be enjoyed after only 5 years or so of age or held to good effect for 10 to 12 years.
Mid crimson. Pretty fruit – fragrant and dark red. This has real depth of fruit as well as lovely freshness with suggestion of some whole bunch but not marked. Tannins are definite and already smooth. Lovely wine. GV

One third whole bunch vinification. Medium purple. This is more discreet at first, then opens out. However, it displays the same rather lactic style as in 2019, then fills out the middle. Good density, but I clearly prefer the other cuvees, which do not have this lactic note.
