“The 2016 Bourgogne Rouge is half the normal production because of the frost and matured in 10% new oak. I did detect a little dustiness on the nose, perhaps the fruit not quite a bright as previous vintages at this stage. The palate is fresh on the entry with quite high acidity, a little dryness on the back palate with some firmness on the finish. I hope this fleshes out by the time of bottling.”
