Monopole. Less than 2 ha. South of Morey. Very Morey and lots of clay. Spicy and crystalline. Juicy and some richness with crunchy, sandy tannins. Super charming.
Anticipated maturity: 2018-2030

“Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, the 2014 Morey St Denis 1er Cru Clos de la Bussière has a lifted, charming bouquet with ample black plum, damson and incense aromas that gain vigor in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine line of acidity, delivering the structure and perhaps the masculinity you expect from a Morey-Saint-Denis, with a pinch of black pepper than enhances the finish. This is a well-crafted if maybe slightly conservative wine from Christophe Roumier…but still “”yum yum.”” Tasted September 2017.”
Anticipated maturity: 2019-2032

Bright dark red Open-knit aromas of raspberry, brown spices and chocolate Densely packed and velvety for the vintage and for the cru, with red berry, brown spice and iron flavors complemented by a salty quality This rich, rather pliant 2014 finishes with excellent length and smooth tannins While it should offer considerable early appeal, it also has the stuffing to age
Anticipated maturity: 2020-2027
