Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 89-91
The 2014 Corton Blanc Grand Cru, which is mainly from Bressandes, has a detailed bouquet with almond and dried quince infusing the citrus fruit, a touch of orange cordial developing behind. The palate is well balanced with quite open and rich tropical-toned fruit, a dab of shaved ginger with a chalky, quite tensile finish. Very fine and a grand cru I suspect will give pleasure early on in its life.
Anticipated maturity: 2017-2025
Vinous 91
(three-quarters Bressandes, one-quarter Les Chaume):Strong Poire William and mineral aromas. Silky, dense and weightless on the palate, showing terrific intensity and inner-mouth tension to its lemon and lime flavors. Enters the mouth supple but finishes with a firm edge and excellent lift. Even more energetic than the Ile des Vergelesses. Long on the aftertaste.
Anticipated maturity: 2019-2025
