Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 91
The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Ostrea has a slightly austere blackberry and briary-scented nose with fine mineralite. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black and red fruit infused with citric like freshness, the finish poised and pure. Again, this is a beautiful Gevrey in the making from Trapet.
Anticipated maturity: 2017-2035
Vinous 88+
Bright medium red. Reticent aromas of red berries, underbrush, mocha and coffee. Conveys an impression of breadth but less in the way of primary fruit than the basic village offering, with elements of spice, mint, herbs and underbrush currently in the foreground. More saline and complex than the regular village wine but this will need a few years of cellaring.
Anticipated maturity: 2019-2025
