Tasting Notes
Vinous 91
Pale, bright yellow. Sexy note of reduction to the aromas and flavors of lemon, lime and flowers; a step up in complexity over the foregoing wines. Sweet and shapely, with a tactile quality enlivened by ripe, integrated acidity. Finishes with saline, spice and pear notes and noteworthy power and length.
Anticipated maturity: 2019-2025
Robert Parker 91-93
The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet les Combettes 1er Cru is, like François’s other Puligny premier crus, backward and stony on the nose – classic Puligny in many ways. The palate has a little more concentration on the entry compared to the Folatieres, gradually building in the mouth toward a lovely sour lemon finish. Excellent.
Anticipated maturity: 2017-2030
