Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 94
Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Cras from Christophe Roumier was showing a lot of reduction on the nose, yet underneath one can find lovely blackberry, game and dried blood aromas coming through mixed with autumn leaves and woodland scents. There is something very natural here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine definition, quite masculine and structured in style with good acidity, moving towards a harmonious, saline finish that beckons another sip.
