Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 91
The 2012 Gevrey Chambertin, which unlike the 2013 does not includes the Les Seuvrées, has a very focused, straitlaced bouquet with Morello cherry and cranberry scents, a touch of sous-bois in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, bright red fruits and impressive precision on the finish. This is a top notch village cru.
Anticipated maturity: 2017-2032
Vinous 86-88
Moderately saturated pale red. Diffuse red fruits, earth and white truffle on the nose. Then spicy, supple and sweet in the mouth; easygoing and rather slight, with round, accessible flavors of strawberry and raspberry dominating. Finishes with sweeter tannins than the Gevrey La Justice. This seems almost ready to bottle.
