Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 87
Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The Chapelle-Chambertin 2011 from Rossignol-Trapet has a more reserved bouquet than Cecile Trembay’s, the fruit blacker, with hints of licorice developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with quite fine tannins and a keen thread of acidity, although there is bluntness on the finish, as if the fruit is whipped away before I’m ready.

Pale to mid cherry. Sweet red fruit, firm and more savoury on the palate. Rounded, relatively rich and dense, but lively too. (JH)
