The 2009 Vosne-Romanée Les Rouges du Dessus reveals a powerful, dark personality. There is marvelous tension between the explosive dark fruit and the wine’s considerable underlying structure. This intense Vosne needs a few years to settle down, but it is magnificent even today. [Antonio Galloni, 05/01/2011]

Bright transparent crimson. The first wine in this J&B timeline working backwards that really does seem to have a very evolved bouquet. Nervous with admirably purity for a 2009. Lively already but with a great future too. Fabulous nerve, lift and balance. [30/11/2015]
