Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 92
This has a very sensuous, entrancing nose with superbly knit new oak although it has certainly closed down since tasted out of barrel last year, when it was just about to be racked. Morello, quince, raspberry leaf and a touch of dried orange peel. The palate is seamless with fine tannins and very focused, with a slightly rustic, ferrous finish. Top class. Tasted February 2008.

Good deep red. Black cherry, mocha, sassafras and game on the rather wild nose. Less sweet and open than the Chambolle villages but with very good chewy depth to the flavors of dark plum and chocolate. A bit tight and youthfully angular, and much less easy to taste today than the village wine. This needs a good four or five years of cellaring.

Great freshness and life. Lots of griottes-cherry flavours plus some autumnal undergrowth. Should open up nicely with lovely fine tannins. This will be bottled relatively late.
