Tasting Notes
Vinous 87
Moderately saturated medium red. Expressive aromas of strawberry, mocha and underbrush. Supple but slightly edgy in the mouth, showing a more pronounced herbal and minty aspect than the young 2002. Finishes slightly dry but firm and persistent.
Robert Parker 87-88
Ruby-colored, and sporting a nose of candied red fruits, the 2001 Chambolle-Musigny is light to medium-bodied, plush, and satin-textured. This sweet cherry and blueberry-dominated wine is pure, supple, and generous. Drink it over the next 5 years.
Anticipated maturity: 2003-2008
