Tasting Notes
Vinous 88-91
Good deep red. Complex, expressive aromas of black cherry, minerals, roasted meat and bacon fat; rather Cîte-Rîtie-like today. Rich, ripe and quite open in the mouth, but given shape by firm underlying minerality. The smoky note repeats on the finish, which shows dusty, even tannins and noteworthy length. This wine finished its malolactic fermentation early and is thus a bit more evolved and expressive today.
